Marian H. Birge
Ms. Birge represents clients in matters including, but not limited to, claims for: discrimination, retaliation, & harassment in violation of the Fair Employment and Housing Act (“FEHA”) & Title VII of the Civil Rights Act; wrongful termination; wage and hour issues; health and safety violations (CalOSHA); unfair business practices; fraud; disability access issues; CFRA/FMLA violations; breach of contract; transactional claims, government torts, and wrongful death. Her vigorous representation of plaintiffs and defendants has contributed to a keen understanding of the issues that arise and need to be addressed on both sides of the coin.

Attorney’s practice includes preventive law; counseling businesses with a focus on policies, procedures, and best practices. Attorney developed and provides California FEHA mandatory anti-harassment training classes. Attorney is an experienced public speaker, and a co-author of Voir Dire and Plaintiff’s Opening Statement, Chapter 14 in Litigating the Workplace Harassment Case, an American Bar Association publication, M. Heyser, 1st Ed. (2010).

Attorney is a trained mediator, and has successfully negotiated and/or mediated scores of cases on behalf of her clients.

Ms. Birge was born in Hartford, Connecticut and grew up near Essex, Connecticut and in the Adirondack mountains of upstate New York.
