Marian H. Birge
Ms. Birge is a forceful advocate for her clients. Her practice focuses primarily on employment law, including sex harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, defamation and retaliation, although her litigation experience also comprises cases involving property issues, business disputes, and transactional law. Ms. Birge has also litigated cases involving government tort claims, civil rights law, and wrongful death claims.

In addition to civil litigation, Ms. Birge practices preventive law, counseling clients toward maintaining a safe and legally compliant workplace. Preventive practices include consulting and assistance regarding compliance with federal and state employment, disability, wage and hour, and discrimination laws, as well as health and safety laws, employment contracts, and company policies and procedures. She provides mandatory sexual harassment training and assists clients with administrative claims and investigations into workplace complaints.

Ms. Birge has successfully negotiated and mediated resolutions on behalf of many clients, and is a trained mediator. Evaluative or facilitative dispute resolution services are available for a range of issues.

Ms. Birge was born in Hartford, Connecticut and grew up near Essex, Connecticut and in the Adirondack mountains of upstate New York.
